New Beginnings

"Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23

Its amazing to me that our God is a God of new beginnings. Especially as we celebrate the Lord's birth, that was a new beginning many years ago, that brought us the greatest gift we could ever desire. But not only does God's gift of His Son bring us new beginnings, we can find them everyday, in every moment of ordinary life.

Born to you

This is my favorite scripture during this time of year:

"For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:11

What do you think this means? Some words that stick out are; "to you," "a Savior," and "Christ the Lord."

God gave us his son as a gift, that gift being a Savior, from what? Learn more at this link:

Goodness still exists

Life is definitely an interesting journey for us all. I have been inspired recently by the life of a good and honest man. All we hear about in the news or in print is about how evil and bad people are. It is true we are surrounded by very few honest and good people, but they do still exist.

Next time we are quick to blame God for all the evil, remember that their is good in this world, if we are just to take a moment and look for it, I guarantee you will find it. God's glory can be seen in others.

What is the mill pond trail?

This is a new blog for those who are part of the journey of faith, in brant lake, ny. Please feel free to post comments and questions.

life...ordinary days

life...my brother inlaw has a quote he uses often its on his blog now (frailife) "life is made up of ordinary days." as i saw that and thought about it, i saw a commercial or some tv show regarding helping someone lead a "normal" life. in relation to health, handicap or whatever. then a profound statement hit me, "everyone wants a normal life, but not everyone wants to live normal." we all want to be healthy, happy, normal, etc. but we dont want just a normal ordinary life. but thats what most of life is. even as i look at my life now, i wonder is there more? i want to impact the world, "do" more with my life. but many times i dont see myself impacting and making a difference where i am. its hard. my life is caught up in other things right now. like hebrew...but i dont know. sometimes i wonder if i use things or say i am busy, but when i look at my life i seemed bored. will it get better? well i dont think so. the point is we all need to learn to look at life differently. to live life here and now, not looking behind or ahead, thats what i do. and i probably miss daily opportunities to make differences in others lives....
